The mobile app market is hugely competitive and there are hundreds of thousands of apps out there. Be sure that you’re not launching something that has already been done (and if a similar app is already available on the market, make sure yours is better and offers much more value to users).

  1. Don’t have a spray and pray approach

What we often see is companies who are keen to take on users from any acquisition source without really understanding how this ‘spray and pray’ approach lacks sustainability. Understanding the cost of acquiring customers versus the value that they will offer further down the sales funnel is key to narrowing down your approach and attracting customers who will user your app.

A typical app will include things like exclusive offers, location and product information, and an event calendar. Having an in-depth understanding of what your customers’ pain points are can help you determine what else you can offer on your app that will really meet their needs.

Many times, people download an app and use it only once or twice (or not at all) before deleting it. A good way to stay top of mind with users is to connect with them on a variety of platforms. Create a solid social media marketing strategy and make sure you are sharing quality and relevant content on these platforms. You should also make sure that you are responding to queries and comments on these platforms in a timely manner.

Another way to increase engagement with your app is to ask customers what they like about, what they don’t like, what other apps they are using, where they spend their time online and what type of content they are interested in. The redevelopment project is from the Holland Partner Group and is a blend of both modern and classic styles. Holland Construction is serving as the general contractor and the Seattle-based architectural firm of Weber Thompson designed the contemporary style building.

Conco successfully completed part of our concrete services when our crews poured 4,900 cubic yards of concrete last month to form the 15,300 square foot mat foundation. In addition to the concrete, the foundation required 1.3 million pounds of rebar. The pour was done over approximately 15 hours and the concrete was supplied by CalPortland.

350 Bush Street, San Francisco

The Conco Companies are providing concrete services for a new office building in downtown San Francisco located at 350 Bush Street. The new 20-story high-rise will have 18 floors of office space, one lobby level, and a roof terrace as well as a two-level subgrade parking structure. In addition as the office tower will incorporate the San Francisco Mining Exchange, a historic landmark, as its primary entrance, the project also includes the “Historic Renovation of San Francisco Mining Exchange Building.”

The Conco Companies are providing concrete services for The Mark, a 48-story high-rise tower in Seattle, WA that will consist of 528,000 sq. ft. of Class A+ office space, as well as a luxurious 189-room SLS hotel and spa. Conveniently located in the city’s central business district, the stunning beautifully designed tower will incorporate a wide range of “green” building features such as rain water management, photovoltaic glass and light pollution reduction. Scheduled for completion in April, 2017, the tower will bring to the area first-class office space that is highly divisible and offers 9’ 6” windows for natural light and spectacular views.

The original store opened in Agoura Hills in 2012 and serves the greater Conejo Valley area, including Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks, along with coastal communities stretching from Malibu to Santa Barbara. Pacific Patio opened a new store in Santa Monica — serving the entire Los Angeles region — with easy access from Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, all the way down to Huntington Beach.

In January, 2016, WSI was retained to increase business for both the Agoura Hills and Los Angeles-Santa Monica stores. The initial digital marketing campaign consisted of paid-search advertising and social media marketing. After the relaunch of a new website based on the Big Commerce platform, WSI is instituting a search-engine optimization (SEO) campaign.

WSI’s keyword research identified two primary keywords — patio furniture and outdoor furniture — that together account for tens of thousands of searches per month. In addition, dozens of specific terms such as “glass outdoor table” and “wicker outdoor chairs” generate tens of thousands of additional searches. The initial on-page optimization process included adding pages for the Conejo Valley towns and specifically for Los Angeles, as well as creating high-quality content with links to PacPatio.com.

In the months ahead, WSI plans to enhance Pacific Patio’s SEO campaign, analyze the effectiveness of the paid-search advertising, and continue to complement both efforts with social posts on the company Facebook and Google Plus pages, along with new accounts with Houzz and Instagram.

Through the summer months — the busiest time for sales in this seasonal business — WSI is also aggressively running Facebook display campaigns, with banner ads targeted to upscale audiences defines by urban characteristics for the Los Angeles store demographic, and suburban characteristics for the Agoura Hills store.
